Blocking a user to interact outside a specific range – ScrollArea Property

An extremely useful technique is to limit a specific scroll area so if a user wants to click outside this area he will not be able to:

For this technique we will use a property through visual basic editor, called ScrollArea. Press ALT +F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor.

Highlight this worksheet and from the properties panel find the ScrollArea box. Click here and type in the range you want to limit.

Nice. Now press ALT+F11 to go back to Excel. Try to click in a cell outside the specific range. You can’t of course.

So we managed to block a user from interact outside a specific range
